MEP design and interference checking
Services are where coordination fails and money is lost. GstarBIM includes an MEP module rather than leaving it to a separate tool, so the clash between a duct and a beam is found in the model instead of on site.
HVAC, electrical and plumbing in one model
The MEP module calculates routing, generates pipes and ducts and inserts fittings automatically, so complex layouts resolve quickly instead of being drawn segment by segment. Equipment connectors mean services attach to plant properly rather than approximately.
Systems you can actually navigate
The MEP System Browser manages services at system level — so you work on the chilled water system or the small power layout as a thing, not as a selection of objects that happen to be near each other.
Interference checking before anyone pours
Built-in interference checking detects conflicts between services and structure and reports them while they are still cheap to fix. This is the single clearest return on a BIM licence for a contractor: a clash resolved in the model costs an hour, the same clash resolved on site costs a week and an RFI.
Common questions
Does GstarBIM do clash detection?
Yes. The MEP module includes interference checking that detects conflicts between services and structure so they can be resolved in the model rather than discovered during construction.
Is MEP a separate product or extra licence?
MEP design is built into GstarBIM. Talk to QuantX BIM about which edition suits your disciplines and we will quote accordingly.
Can we coordinate against a consultant's services model?
Yes — link their IFC or RVT model and check interference against it, then issue the coordinated result back as IFC.
Try it on your own project
A 30-day trial, a quote in rupees, or a conversation about whether GstarBIM fits how you work — whichever is useful.
